The SCA (Society for Creative Anachronisms) is a worldwide group of people who have an interest in medieval things, ranging from martial combats including rapier, heavy fighting and wars, to scribing, costume making and much more. My main current interests are archery and scribing. I dabble a little in costuming, rapier combat and wine/beer brewing. The brewing is definitely dabbling, my concoctions can be called, well, dangerous!

"Who am I and what do you want?" I hear you say?
Currently I am simply Jean-Paul. I harken from the southern regions of France, somewhere in the Pyrenees, however, I am yet to fully define my persona. Suffice to say, this young gentle does make a harsh home brew (it does take the back of yer throat off!) I also shoot mystery circle beasts quite often, teaching fellow archers when I can.
Mistress Murghein ni Grainne has started teaching me scribing. This is a wonderful art and the little practice I have had to date has been very relaxing.
I also fence, occasionally! I seem to get too tied up with archery at training sessions leaving me little time to get distracted with the long pointy sticks. Also, the weather in summertime around Perth is not conducing to running around in anything but shorts, t-shirt and thongs. I recommend against fighting under many layers of clothing in our heat!

Some Photos of some recent events. Some taken by me, some taken by willing friends.
