Alpha Pic I have now got an AlphaStation 255/233. It is a funky "Tob Gun" blue (as according to Digital (don't call us DEC, er, now Digitally Enhanced Compaq). There will be more reports on it as it gets up and running.
Oh, it is now working :) It is running Debian Potato, not woody, 'cause I do not have the time or energy to keep it updated and bug-free and running woody. Unfortunately, he only has 48MB of RAM. If anyone has any 72 pin full parity RAM, in groups of 4, let me know please!
It exists as host3.nick.it.net.au reasonably accesible from the real world. If you have an account, then you can ssh to it. If the names boronia, langsford or waratah mean anything, then possibilities abound.

I do not *sigh* have one of those speccy monitors, just the little bit underneath and when you think that that box is 19" wide, consider the monitor ..... *drool*

www.alphalinux.org is probably the best place to go to these days for alpha related stuff.
www.compaq.com/alphaserver/workstations/
gatekeeper.dec.com is also a good repository of useful undocumented information.
