Perhaps this is a reflection of my own personal writing abilities, but I frequently find myself confronted by an idea or concept which I am unable to express in a sufficently lengthy form to warrant an essay. Perhaps these ideas are too small, mere 'idealets'. Or maybe (to take a more symapethetic perspective) I simply don't ramble enough to flesh out an entire essay.

This seems unlikely.

More likely the ideas simply don't have the content of a full essay; an essay take a single supposition and builds on it, exploring all avenues, lanes and byways before coming back to the final conclusion. Simply cataloguing the full terrain of an arguement can be quite exhausting, let alone exploring it in a timely manner. Providing the reader with an interesting exploration requires more skill and patience than I admit to. As Oscar Wilde said, 'I apologise for the length of this letter but I have not has time to shorten it.'

One may question my desire to write an essay.

Nope, I'm sorry, I simply can't stretch this out into an essay.
