Links.

"It seems to be the fate of most Web sites to becoming nothing more than a list of links to other places." - Unknown.

As an example of a well done site I refer you to Grafica Obscura. It is neat, informative and interesting.

The High Energy Physics - Theory is an ideologically important site. HEP-TH is a Theoretical Physics pre-print " publishing " service. In many ways it has revolutionised theoretical physics; most papers come out on HEP-TH well before they are published in a paper journal. Abstracts for newly submitted papers are distributed via E-Mail within 24 hours of submission. And HEP-TH was up and running well before the WWW was created...

Some general Netlinks.

Grafica Obscura- A well done site with lots of odd and interesting information.
The University of Western Australia
The UCC Home Page
Weather & global monitoring- Weather services are an excellent use of the net. I think it is great that the various weather services have embraced the Net so quickly.

Good Reading

Gutenberg Master Index- The gutenberg project makes electronic copies of out of copyright books. Well done and a laudable idea.
Guide to Lock Picking- A really good practical Web site.
General Health Information- In the long term it is this sort of information which will be the bread and butter of the Net.
UCI Bookstore: Ansel Adams Home Page- Not a fantastic display, but nice to see some good pictures online.

Physics References

XXX.lanl.gov and High Energy Physics, Theory- Ideologically important sites. Totally useless to anyone outside the field.
