Report 7.0 JB James Bourne; LF Layla Flash; TI Tommaso Iuliano; AM Angela Morris Company status: - it is approx. 3:00 PM on Fri 29.10.2199 - we are just leaving Cooper's Ferry, heading for Alderberg - we have a mostly full tank of fuel (85.3%, 256 l, 4096 km range) - we have 19 ration packs and 6 luxury ration packs, which will keep JB/TI/AM fed for 12.5 days - we have HIST project subscription paid until 26.08.2200 - we have CommCore access paid until 24.08.2201 - we owe 100000 cs at 20% p.a. to the North Bank; first interest payment of 20000 cs will be due 31.12.2199 - company funds currently 8177 cs Sat 30.10.2199 - after a day's sailing out of Cooper's Ferry, we reach Alderberg in the morning; Alderberg is a town approximately 0.5 km in diameter with a stone-construction monastery (with 6 m high walls, to shield against the weather) on a hillside behind the town; the buildings here are white, multi-storey, Spanish-style constructions - a Chinese monk, Brother Chang (also a geologist), meets us at the dock and tells us that the monks' submarine, the Shroud, should be returning soon, having apparently discovered a new sea trench recently - there are no docking fees here - we refuel: 61 l @ 0.5 cs/l is approximately 30 cs -30 cs - the Shroud, a research submersible, returns to Alderberg; TI speaks to the captain and crew - we visit the monastery, about 3 km out of town; there is a small museum on the monastery grounds; the monastery is the Monastery of Saint John the Baptist, and was founded on 12 June 2186; Alderberg was named after Father John Alder, who died in transit from Earth to Poseidon; the monks are also scientists, and have made contributions to knowledge about Poseidon; the meteorology station in Alderberg is one of the main centres on Poseidon for studying the weather - we return to Alderberg for lunch at the town's sole restaurant; LF flies her remote off to talk to someone who has been to Simushir, the Nippon Industrial State town that we may be visiting soon Sun 31.10.2199 - we set sail for Haven Mon 01.11.2199 - we arrive at Haven - docking fee @ 10 cs/day -10 cs - fuel: 26 l @ 0.5 cs/l is 13 cs -13 cs - TI and AM check CommCore for ways to make money quickly; TI uses the search phrase "lucky to have survived" - we discuss transporting weapons and other equipment to help natives against GenDiver in Sierra Nueva; both the natives and GenDiver accuse each other of atrocities and spreading false propaganda; GenDiver has accused natives of the 'Stonebridge Massacre' - TI and JB arrange for the company to meet a Russian supplier in a bar; we all meet the supplier to discuss what is for sale - JB draws up several proposals for equipment orders for sale to the natives; TI sends off the order; that afternoon, a van pulls up by the Yellow Submarine to deliver our order: 1.
