our range on our base fuel tank is 3200 km (200 l of fuel) - delivery robot hire -75 cs Fri 18.12.2199 - we shop for equipment for the hunting trip - diving mask (top quality) -450 cs - dry suit (top quality; his personal gear will be reassigned to AM after the trip - JB and AM plot possible routes in the afternoon - we all visit Gail's in the evening to watch a video Sat 19.12.2199 - Dr. Bruce Murphy, a man in his late 40s with apparent bodysculpting, arrives at the Yellow Sub in the morning; he has short hair and wears smart casuals - we pay docking fees for yesterday and today - docking fees: 2 days @ 10 cs/day -20 cs - living expenses JB/LF/TI/AM: 2 days @ 50 cs/day/person -400 cs - we set sail, planning to travel south for 1 day before beginning the trip proper; Bruce talks about the research his group is conducting - in the afternoon, we reach some islands with lagoons, and stop to look around; the weather is fine currently - we walk around a small island; TI decides to go through the middle of the island and startles a land lizard into attacking him by using a survival grenade on it; the land lizard bites TI's arm badly - LF's remote hits the lizard a few times, managing to wound it; AM drags TI away; JB shoots the lizard, then Bruce kills the lizard with a rifle shot - AM dresses TI's wounds; JB butchers the land lizard; we rest on the beach and cook the lizard - after a tranquil sunset, JB puts up the (self-constructing) shelter on the beach; JB and Bruce sleep outside while everyone else heads into the shelter Sun 20.12.2199 - light rain at about 3:00 AM; Bruce wakes up and moves into the shelter - at dawn, we have more land lizard for breakfast, then go spear- fishing; Bruce spears a few brightly-coloured jub-jub fish - it's now raining; we cook the fish for lunch - in the afternoon, we swim around the reefs, then set sail for another (larger) island; we arrive before sunset and rest Mon 21.12.2199 - we hear birds in the morning; we set sail again, for an even larger island - before we reach the next island, LF notices something about 50 m ahead, in the water; after some trepidation, we find that it's a long (60-70 m) chain-jellyfish-like creature; we later find out that it was a bubble array (harmless, but its bubbles are filled with concentrated hydrochloric acid) - it's raining as we reach the third island; we go hunting, with AM leading the way - after passing through some 20 m-tall, broad-leaved trees, we find some chubs; TI, AM, and Bruce take shots; TI misses, AM misses, and Bruce shreds a chub with a rifle shot - we hunt a while more, finding nothing, then return to the beach at sunset; AM suggests hunting for digger crabs (about 0.75 m wide) on the beach after dark - we don't find any digger crabs, but we do find a nightcrawler crab (carrion scavenger; also a large type of crab); since we think it's an endangered species, we leave it alone - TI tells a ghost story and we rest Tue 22.12.2199 - AM says there are wetlands on the other side of the island, and we head there to hunt - we reach a saltwater marsh and spot a hexaboar (large, six-legged wild pig); Bruce aims and hits with a rifle shot, but only manages to enrage it; it charges - Bruce hits it, AM and TI miss, and JB hits it a few times, wounding it badly but not killing it; LF's remote hits it a couple of times; it charges AM but she manages to evade it, and then it charges JB, who also evades it - since it's now badly wounded, we let Bruce have the killing shot Company status: - it is approx. 10:00 AM on Tue 22.12.2199 - we are on an island about one day's sailing south of New Fremantle - we have a mostly full tank of fuel (82.5%, 165 l, 2640 km range), with our extra internal fuel tank stored at Gail Inno's - we have 63 ration packs, which will keep JB/TI/AM/Bruce fed for 21 days (TI and Bruce allocated 1 pack/day) - we have HIST project subscription paid until 26.08.2200 - we have CommCore access paid until 24.08.2201 - we owe 100000 cs at 20% p.a. to the North Bank;
