I have a strong interest in technology and enjoy writing code, designing circuitry and machinery, and learning about it.
I first learned to program in 1987 and have been interested in writing AI software since 1990.
My web pages are mainly about my interest in Artificially Intelligent Robots.
To me these machines we make are the beginnings of a new form of life we are not
just designing-creating
machines we may be creating life it's self. Before 2015 it is my belief someone will create artificial machinery with all the features of
any other life-form it it will be capable of surviving and
replicating with or without human help or intervention in the real world.
Artificial life could be built with todays technology - Perhaps the reason
we have not yet succeeded is the effort, cost, and lack of a true understanding
of ourselves.
It's interesting seeing the latest developments in science related to
AI-Robots it's vast and expanding industry. Our determination to produce intelligent robots has produced some of the most complex machines ever. I enjoy learning about all areas related
to AI robotics including; sociology, neurology neuroscience biology , computer
science , linguistics, digital signal processing , cognitive science ,
sociobiology , physiology, computer simulations, neural networks, artificial
life and others.
I have quite allot of programming experience from working on my own
software projects, some of skills i have learnt from this are computer
graphics programming, 3 dimensional VR simulation, evolutionary simulations,
Audio DSP, Micro controller software, Expert system design, CS algorithms
etc. I have good knowledge of the LINUX environment and the C and C++ languages,
good assembly language skills, and excellent knowledge of a huge variety
of Computer - CPU architectures and designs.
When not otherwise occupied i go rock climbing ,do modern jive ,
go MTV cycling , go trekking ,ice skating, fly power kites from a kite board ,
goto the gym ,fish ,swim and dive ,cook and sometimes even work :-) and well just
about anything really.
