Meeting opened 6:20 pm


Reports

o President: - started organizing UCC 24th Anniversary dinner
             - started organizing HURD box
             - started organizing BeBox with Peter Lewis
             - nothing done with HP yet

o Vice President: - has done something...

o Treasurer: - no money banked lately; there was only $15 in the cash
               box this week.
             - NTU pointed out that we need to buy more food and 
               non-coke drinks
o Machines: - mermaid has been reinstalled (luyer did it remotely)
(-- TDH arrives)
            - PGW has started installing the HURD box
            - Mikolaj asked if someone could remove the DAT drive 
              from the HP.. PGW will do this. Peter Markwell offered
              to get someone in to look at the HP if we need it.
            - Mola is happy.
            - Sun is going to donate a LX. WAZ will make this the NFS
              server instead of Mola when we get it.

General Business
----------------

o Paul Day - his account was locked for account sharing. He now
             understands why this is a bad thing, and won't do it
             again. His account will be unlocked this evening.
ACTION: WAZ to unlock Paul's account.

o UCC 24th Anniversary dinner
           - Will be held on Thu 22nd Oct at the Chinese restaurant
             above the University Asian restaurant. 
           - Need to organise: raffle prizes
                               auction items
                               door prizes?
                               mugs
                               stickers
                               anything else?
           ACTION: WAZ to talk to Alphawest about getting some mugs,
                   t-shirts, or anything else they will give us.
           - We will look at getting some UCC mugs done up at a screen
             printer. SGC still has the suggestions for things to go on
             the mugs.
             ACTION: SGC to mail suggestions made last year for a vague
                     vote.
                     PGW to phone screen printers to find someone who
                     can print the mug
           - The bumper sticker designs are still in SGC's pigeon hole.
             ACTION: PGW to organise getting these printed 
           
o We need to fundraise money (~$200) to buy memory for mermaid, mola, and
  mako.

o O'Day - start worrying about it after exams.

o SGI - Want to see if we can set a box up for development.
      - Need to email list - see if people are interested
                      SGI linux support team   

o REMINDER: If you do something to a machine, you _need_ to email out
  that this has been done!!
