The committee thanks all those who helped, including Ian McKellar, Nick Bannon, Grahame Bowland, Mark Tearle and Alastair Irvine. Vice Presidents Report The Vice President is not present. Treasurers Report The up to date current bank balance is unknown. $530.35 was banked from the cash box, as was $225.05 from the vending machine. The treasurer will find the bank balance and report to committee. Correspondance Report Nothing to report. Machine Report NIS is running from mooneye for password distribution. The "purple" SGI needs to be reinstalled, and the "green" SGI should be made a NIS master. Ian McKellar will be bringing in the donated Apollo. "erwin" is dead at the moment, and is currently with David Manchester. General Business Nick Bannon has been arranging sponsorship details, but has nothing to report. Melissa has been writing letters to potential sponsors. Nick Rohrlach will investigate the possibility of colour membership cards for next year. It is noted that there are just three and a half weeks until the day. The fresher guide, having been written by Grahame Bowland, needs more people to proof read. Grahame will email out a text version to ucc@ucc.gu.uwa.edu.au for comments. Mice There were no replies to the request for mice to test. Grahame Bowland will get quotes. Network Cards Nick Bannon has a quote for the new network cards. The quoted price from a web site is $50 excluding tax. Ian McKellar moved we buy three, and the motion was passed. Security Duncan Sargeant will talk to Jo at Computer Science about getting security cables.
