Vice-President's Report ----------------------- - Probably just failed Prof. Comp. - Camp EMP sort-of happening-ish. - Camp poster happened; now for approval. Thanks to cephei and [BOB]. - Everything is kind-of horrible, but yay for mars bars! - No drama! - Also we have the thing with the Politics club. - You should all go. - Cheap Pizza. - You should all go. - Will be redoing Learn2Linux. - With some changes for accessibility and focus. - Probably at lunchtime, as many members can't make evenings. Treasurer's Report ------------------ - We have money - exact balances to come. - In the safe $550.45 - ~$2.1k in Westpac, Guild unchanged. - [BOB] talked to Ken about the MegaLAN catering bill - should now be $500. Secretary's Report ------------------ - I'm happy to see the initial changes that have resulted from the discussions before, during and after last week's meeting. - Notices in clubroom publicising rules, expectations and services. - Wheel (and others) making an effort to be visible and accessible, like the machine room door sign. - Camp progress! - I now have a rack. In other news, I need more machines to fill said rack :) Fresher Rep's Report -------------------- - We have freshers, growing less fresh. - Very few freshers from Semester 2. - People have been applying for Camp Scholarships, this is good. - Has been a terrible student, playing TF2. OCM Reports -------------------- [M12]: - Working on a Learn to UCC talk. - Guild is sapping my soul. - UCC members should support Unisfa by going to their screenings. - Metropolis, War Games, and more. [ASH]: - Still working on laptop. - Conflicted about easiness of Intel Wireless drivers. - Not much happening. [*OX]: - Tech talk announcement has been published. Javascript and jQuery, this Wednesday. - Has been working on a Python-Facebook script for publishing events and minutes, etc. - OCM reports should be more on topic. Machine Technical Reports ------------------------- Servers - Meersau disk is currently being replaced, not yet complete. - Meersau is quite sick in general. - 4 Mann vs Machine servers running on Heathred, very popular. - Heathred is coping well. - rcon password leak, has since been changed. Network - We have one. - Cutover to new university network on Saturday, brief downtime. - Possible IPv6 renumbering on the horizon. Desktops - Doing well at the moment. - Cichlid is less nice, possible RAM shortage. Only 2G. - We have some in MR, we should install this. New equipment - None Drinks and Snacks ----------------- - Coke machine was filled today by [GOZ] - Snack machine filled by [TPG] on the weekend. - We still have many snacks in MR. - We need more drinks, only have coke and little solo. [BOB] has a senior first aid ticket and Bronze Medallion. - Poster has been submitted for Guild approval, with a few copies already posted around UCC and Cameron Hall. Preliminary list in [SLX]'s home, [EDO] will have a look. - [ROW] : Club room has been somewhat messy lately, people leaving food wrappers/containers near computers.
